The „Bucharest in a day” project aims to raise awareness amongst tourists, as well as Bucharest’s inhabitants, regarding the value and diversity of the capital’s cultural heritage. For this purpose, three pedestrian routes through the city have been suggested, which take only a few hours to cover, and give us a glimpse of the city’s true face, revealing houses, statues, streets and representative monuments, as we learn Bucharest’s story through the history and events that marked its existence. As hand-out material provided to sightseers who wish to cover the routes, we have created a guide-brochure accompanied by a relevant cartographic material, consisting of three maps, one for each route. Along with this, we have our own website with detailed information about each objective on the routes. A further step we are going to take is highlighting the routes on field, by applying a continuous marking along them, and signaling each objective.
